Rainfall Anomaly:
Rainfall onset has begun in the south and Lake Victoria basin. Delayed but imminent rains expected mid-March across most other regions

Rains begin across Uganda. Plant now. Bean and banana prices rise as supplies tighten. Livestock care and fertilizer application are top priorities.

First rains have begun in parts of the south and southwest. Central and northern areas remain mostly dry but are expected to receive rains mid-March

Seasonal rains begin in parts of Uganda. Farmers urged to plant now, scout for pests, and monitor surging bean and banana prices.

Mostly dry conditions continue nationwide, with isolated showers only near Lake Victoria and Mt. Elgon. Rains expected in March

Final dry week before rains. Maize and bean prices rising. Farmers urged to plant promptly, scout for pests, and vaccinate livestock.

Most of Uganda remains dry; only light showers forecast for southwestern highlands and Lake Victoria fringe. Rains expected in early March

Dry season nears its end; maize steady, beans poised to rise. Farmers urged to finalize field prep, store grain well, and vaccinate livestock.

Rainfall Anomaly:
Most regions remain dry with only isolated drizzles near Lake Victoria. No major rains expected until March; continued risk of heat stress and wildfires
